2008 Oscar Hair How To: Marion, Katherine, Nicole

Celebrity hairstylist Robert Vetica of Frederic Fekkai Melrose Place Salon demonstrates 2008 Ocar hairstyles and recreates three award worthy styles: Marion Cotillard, Katherine Heigl and Nicole Kidman. These Oscar red carpet re-do’s come courtesy of Access Hollywood – in case you missed it on TV.

Celeb Style: Giselle Bundchen

Giselle BundchenWhile a lot of us can only dream of looking like Brazilian bombshell Giselle Bundchen, most of us can recreate her carfree waves in a few simple steps. Practice making your own super sexy runway waves with a Hot Tools 1-1/2″ curling iron. The larger barrel will make coils carefree, not controlled for a more casual chic look. Everyone agrees this hairstyle works best on second day ‘dirty’ hair – so wash it the day prior to styling. Before curling, work a little Davines Defining Volume Mousse through your hair to help hold the curls. Then after curling, tug downward on each curl gently to relax it. After tugging, pull some sections out of each curl and separate the strands, giving your hair a more piece-y look. To tousle your style even more, after creating the curls and pulling them apart, use a little texturizing cream, turn upside-down and work through hair to ends to get that messy look with loads of extra volume. We’re talking Smokin’ hot.

Celeb Style: Paris Hilton

Paris HiltonWhether you’re a fan or a foe, you’ve got to admit, Paris Hilton’s hair is hot. From the clean lines of her haircut, to the high-class platinum highlights, to the blow out and beyond, if you want your hair to look like Paris Hilton’s, consider this your first step in heiress hairstyling. Complete with flat iron tips and before and after photos, this video from Video Jug will show you how to take your hair straight from Main Street to Park Avenue – it’s pure platinum, pure drama, pure Paris. Perfect for the celebutante in all of us.

Just add your own glossy pout, posh posse, and perfect pose and you’ll be red carpet ready.

Celeb Style: Diablo Cody

Diablo CodyI am definitely a fan of Diablo Cody’s street chic wardrobe, choppy hair style, and tongue in cheek attitude. Her personal style is part pin up girl mixed with some rocker chic plus a dash of glamour. For hair this sleek and smooth I’d fire up an FHI Platform 1″ Flat Iron. The Ceramic and Nano-Tourmaline technology will straighten and add tons of award winning shine worthy of any leopard print loving, million dollar shoe wearing, Oscar winner.

Celeb Style: Drew Barrymore

Drew BarrymoreSometimes I think Drew Barrymore lives in dog years. She’s been around for ages and has done more by her ripe young age of 32 than most can accomplish in a lifetime. E.T. at 7, rehab by 13, two marriages under her belt (hope it works out with the Apple computer guy), Hollywood A-list celeb, Playboy cover, producer, style icon, you name it. Even with all of her ups and downs she always maintains two things: Her contagious positive attitude and her fabulous sense of style. I get so envious – her hair seems to do whatever she wants at any given time without product overload. Always natural, always fabulous – keep it up Drew! (P.S. We’ll ignore your March cover of Vogue – too much photoshop!)

Celeb Style: Natalie Portman

Natalie PortmanNatalie Portman makes every hairstyle a classic. From the short, Audrey-esque pixie to the long, loose tendrils, she even made bald look cute – if that’s possible. This stylish celeb sports so many different looks with ease, but I’m sure there’s one thing she won’t compromise -the ingredients in her hair care. This long time vegetarian would only use the most natural, cruelty-free ingredients in her hair; she’d use Pureology. Made with all natural botanicals, this biodegradable hair care is sulfate free, contains no animal ingredients whatsoever and is 100% vegan, just like her fabulous new line of shoes. You go girl!

Celeb Style: Hayden Panettiere

Hayden PanettiereIt’s obvious that Hayden Panettiere knows the secret to keeping her blonde locks looking bold, not brassy – the right hair care. Pureology Power Dressing is one of those serious stylers that combines a bevvy of botanicals -Mmmm, vanilla and white ginger – to deliver protection, shine and heroic styling power. It’s also loaded with an awesome AntiFade Complex, UV inhibitors, sunscreens and antioxidants protect color from fading or turning brassy. Plus it’s 100% vegan and cruelty-free, perfect for our golden hued hero.

Celeb Style: Gwen Stefani

Gwen StefaniGwen is truly one of a kind, and the living definition of “having it all”. Super hot hubby, super cute Kingston, baby #2 on the way. Her music, her handbags, her clothing line. Where does she find the time? Oh and the sexiest line of shoes I’ve seen in a while (note to buy a pair today!) but what I love about her most is her unique sense of style. Check out her hair in this pic – a classic ponytail with a geniune Gwen twist. I could write a post about her hair every day and love every look. It’s Gwen’s world, she just lets us rock in it.

Want to create your own rocker look like this? Check out these styling tips from Johnny Lavoy. He’ll show you the hairstyle, you add the attitude and it’s pure Gwen.
