Homemade Hair Refresher To Go

conditionersNeed a hair refresher on the go?  I have discovered a great new hair tip that I had to share with you all.  If you have curly or wavy hair and you have noticed throughout the day it loses its pizazz try this hair refresher.  Take your everyday conditioner, about 2 tbsp, and mix with about 6 ounces of water. Put in a spray bottle and shake up.  Whenever you feel that your hair is frizzing out or needs extra bounce spray on your hair and leave in.  You can use this on your kids as well. A low cost way of keeping your hair beautiful.  I love it!

Hair Color, Oops!

Color Oops hair color problemsBad color job? Don’t worry you are not alone. Women have continued to explore the options of hair coloring, including permanents, semi-permanents, henna, etc. What happens when that new fabulous auburn hair color when applied turns out to be metallic red? No need to sit and sulk for 4-6 weeks as the color slowly fades away, Color Oops is there to the rescue. Color Oops when applied actually restores your hair to its natural color! What a product! It uses a special ingredient called hydrosulfite which rapidly reduces the dye molecule in the hair color. This process safely removes the coloring from your hair without the need for bleach, ammonia, or peroxide.

avocado hair treatmentDid you know that avocado oil is good for your hair? Yes, avocado oil can be used as an at home deep conditioning treatment.  Simply massage the oil on your scalp and hair in the morning.  Keep the oil in your hair all day if possible.  If not an hour or so will do as well.  Then wash your hair as normal.  You will love your silky smooth locks!

Dove Go Fresh Shampoos and Conditioners

dove shampoos“No Girl Should Need a Guy to Get that Fresh all over Tingly Feeling”  I love it! As the new slated slogan for the Dove Go Fresh Campaign, Dove again provides encouragement and self empowerment messaging to beautiful young women.  I love Dove and their commitment to Real Beauty which began with the Real Beauty Campaign a number of years ago.  I have to add that I have used Dove soap as my body bar since I was a year old.  I have tried other body washes for a day or so but I always return to my tried and true Dove soap.

With the launch of the new Dove Go Fresh campaign I had to get my hands on this fun new line of Dove Shampoos and Conditioners.  With dramatic scents including Grapefruit & Lemongrass, Cucumber & Greentea, and Waterlily & Fresh Mint, I knew they would smell fabulous.  I decided to test out the Grapefruit and Lemongrass Shampoo and Conditioner just because.  I used the shampoo and conditioner for over a week and I am happy to report that my hair feels, looks, and smells fabulous.  It has volume, body, and shine.  You can’t go wrong with the nice prices as well.  So if you are looking for a solid, nicely priced hair care line check out Dove Go Fresh Shampoos and Conditioners!

Another Reason to Love Aloe Vera, Hair Loss

Aloe VeraIs Aloe Vera the true cure all for every ailment under the sun?  I cannot attest to every ailment but Aloe Vera is fabulous for your hair and scalp and can even help to prevent hair loss!

Aloe Vera has been used for centuries as a remedy to cure and relieve common skin disorders in Native America, India, and the Caribbean.  This miracle plant has been used to help relieve skin and scalp disorders and keep hair healthy.

So what is the connection with Aloe Vera and hair loss you ask?  Aloe Vera is known to balance out the PH balance and stimulate the production of enzymes on your scalp which helps stimulate hair growth.  So if you are looking to prevent hair loss or just keep your locks healthy use this sure fire routine to keep your full head of hair on your head versus the bed!

Before going to bed, dab a bit of Aloe Vera on your scalp with your fingers or cotton ball. Massage in the scalp and hair.  Wash the next day.  If you would rather not sleep with the gel, put Aloe Vera in your hair first thing in the morning and then wash after an hour.  Remember longer is better!  You can find either Aloe Vera stalks at your local grocery store or nursery. Not into the natural stalks, use an over the counter Aloe Vera Gel.

Looking for Shiny Hair? Apple Cider Vinegar to the Rescue

applecider2.jpgSo there has been a lot of talk about the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar. Could it be the end all remedy to every ailment including allergies, acne, sinus infections, flu, sore throats, arthritis, and a rosy complexion (just to name a few wow!). I cannot guarantee all of those benefits but I know it does help to keep your hair incredibly shiny. Simply dilute 1 tablespoon of the Apple Cider Vinegar in 2 cups of water. After you shampoo and condition your hair simply rinse your hair with the Apple Cider Vinegar mixture as a final hair rinse. Do not rinse out just leave in your hair. Your hair will be beautiful and shiny. Try it out and let me know what you think.
